River City Petroleum, Inc. and Fredericksen Tank Lines, Inc. are sister companies with common ownership. Fredericksen Tank Lines was founded in 1940 and operates as a PUC common carrier of petroleum products in Arizona, California, Nevada, Oregon and Utah. In 1981, River City Petroleum, Inc. was formed to operate independently with a focus on distribution and sales of petroleum products.

Today, River City Petroleum, Inc. is an independent petroleum marketing company engaged in the sale and distribution of transportation fuels through wholesale/ commercial sales, retail and convenience stores, unattended commercial cardlock facilities, and direct delivery to government installations. The primary areas of operation are California, Nevada, Arizona, Oregon and Utah, with current annualized fuel sales in excess of 210 million gallons. River City Petroleum, Inc. has ownership of a number of petroleum cardlock and retail sites, is a member of a nationwide cardlock fueling network, and is an authorized Exxon/Mobil and Citgo branded dealer representative for fuels and lubricants. River City Petroleum, Inc. acquires petroleum fuels from both major and independent refiners and distributes these products through the common carrier pipeline and bulk terminal systems supplying Northern and Southern California, Nevada, Arizona, Oregon and Utah. River City’s wholesale marketing efforts are directed at a broad spectrum of customers, with a combination of long term and short term contractual transportation fuel sales to accounts such as commercial truck fleets, mines and other industrial end users, federal and state governments, municipalities, utilities, agriculture, and independent retailers.

Fredericksen Tank Lines, Inc. owns and operates a truck and trailer fleet with over 40 units. Fredericksen hauls for a diverse customer base that includes major oil companies, independent oil companies, government accounts, and various commercial and industrial accounts. Fredericksen's tank trucks haul gasoline, diesel fuel, jet fuel and bulk oils. The states primarily served by the carrier are California, Nevada, Utah, Oregon and Arizona. Besides the headquarters terminal in West Sacramento, Fredericksen Tank Lines has fleet facilities in Chico, Martinez and Stockton, California. Fredericksen Tank Lines, Nevada locations are Las Vegas and Reno. Additional units are domiciled at several other locations within California. Most equipment maintenance is done in-house at company shops in West Sacramento, Reno and Las Vegas. These maintenance shops are also revenue generators, performing outside maintenance service to commercial accounts.
